NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack women's ice hockey team looks to kickstart its momentum against the No. 4/4 Northeastern Huskies in a home-and-home series.
Merrimack is coming off a pair of games against the UNH Wildcats, coming up short in both. In the first, the Warriors PK was 3-for-4, with sophomore goaltender
Emma Gorski facing 42 shots on goal. On Saturday in New Hampshire, freshman netminder
Aries Mustoe made her collegiate debut, making 28 saves against the Wildcats, including a 12 save opening period.

Hannah Corneliusen earning starting shifts and time on the top defensive pair and line, respectively.

Megan Fergusson are both in the top-20 for Hockey East's total faceoff wins, earning 88 and 65 wins in the dot respectively.

Emma Gorski sits in the top-10 across the Hockey East goaltending leaderboards. Her .909 save percentage is eighth in the league, and tenth in goals against average.
A Look at the Huskies:
Northeastern has stayed true to form since taking the Hockey East crown at Lawler Rink on March 8. The Huskies started their season in mid-December and have turned a 9-0-1 record since the new year. Alina Mueller continues to lead the offense with six goals and 15 points in 11 games, with Chloe Aurard notching five goals so far on the year. Skylar Fontaine has had two power play goals and nine points on the season. In goal, senior Aerin Frankel continues to make an impact, earning five shutouts and eight wins along with a .971 save percentage.
In their last meeting, Merrimack fell to Northeastern 3-0 on Feb. 22, 2020. The Warriors last won against the Huskies on October 28, 2016 in a 3-2 victory at Matthews Arena.

Up Next
The Warriors will continue play next weekend with an opponent to be determined. As announced by Hockey East, the previously released composite schedules for both the men's and women's leagues will be set aside and the remainder of the 2020-21 season will continue to be scheduled on a weekly basis.
