BOSTON, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's cross country team took a step back this week at the New England Championships as they had good individual performances, but just couldn't string together a tight pack overall. The Warriors were led by captain,
TJ Corliss, who finished with an overall time of 25:42 in an 8K format.
This meet was against 26 other opponents including: American Int'l, Assumption, Boston College, Brown, Bryant, Central Connecticut, Dartmouth, Hartford, Holy Cross, Keene State, Maine, Northeastern, Providence, Quinnipiac, Sacred Heart, SNHU, St. Anselm, Stonehill, Tufts, UMass Amherst, Lesley, UMass Lowell, UNH, URI, Yale, and Fairfield.

Chris Cameron: " The team didn't have a tight pack, and it wasn't our best team performance. The guys know what they have to do in the next three weeks and we'll be ready to roll then."
How It Happened:
- Corliss once again set the standard for the Warriors as he finished in 36th in a loaded pack of runners.
- Right behind the captain was first year, Ryan Dyer, who finished shortly behind Corliss with a time of 26:07 which was good enough for 58th place.
- The JV tier brought good fortune Merrimack though, as sophomore, Griffin Allaire, finished with an impressive time of 27:14.

Merrimack will see action again in two weeks in New Britain, Conn. as the Warriors will compete in the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet.
