NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – In the closing match of Northeast Conference play, the Merrimack men's soccer team nabbed a 1-0 victory over rival Bryant on
Bennet Morrill's first collegiate goal.

The Summary
- In a first half rife with offensive opportunities, Merrimack struck for what was ultimately the only tally of the game. On a ball from the midfield, Johan Feilscher settled it down, breaking in along the wing. Pulling back against defensive pressure, Feilscher sent it back to an open Bennet Morrill who lofted the ball from 25 yards out for a ball that took a hop with Frantz Pierrot pressuring down low.
- The physical challenge between the teams continued into the latter stages of the first half, culminating in a final minute yellow and red against Bryant to give the Warriors the second half up a man.
- Merrimack's offensive opportunities continued in the second half, with the Warriors posting nine shot attempts in the closing 45 minutes. The Warriors ended the contest with five shots on goal.
- Defense for the Warriors was also stout, only allowing one shot on goal in the second half while defending against three corner kicks in the match. Goalkeeper Alvaro Rodriguez made three saves for his third clean sheet of the season.

- Merrimack ended its season on a four-game winning streak, its longest since going undefeated in NEC play in the 2019 season. The Warriors now have 17 wins and three winning seasons all-time since joining the NEC in 2019. Â
