NORTH ANDOVER, MASS. – The Merrimack College men's basketball team came out of holiday break swinging, scoring 74 points in the victory over St. Francis Brooklyn College on Wednesday night.
Jordan Minor led the way in the scoring department for the Warriors after dropping 23 points.
Ziggy Reid had a season-high 20 points after knocking down five shots, including two threes.
Mikey Watkins scored 11 points and had three assists.
Malik Edmead chipped in with 10 as the fourth Warrior in double figures. Merrimack forced 16 Terrier turnovers in the ten-point victory.

- Edmead got the Warrior scoring going with a mid-range jumper. St. Francis Brooklyn scored five straight. Reid knocked down a three to tie the game at five. The Warriors then went on an 8-0 run, highlighted by threes from Edmead and Reid. The Terriers scored five in a row to go down by three. Watkins and Reid combined for six points to go up nine. The Warrior lead went between five and nine points for a good potion of the first half. A Minor layup, followed up by a Watkins jumper increased the Merrimack lead to 13. Reid knocked down three free throws to send the Warriors into the locker room with a 13-point lead after it was cut to 10 by St. Francis Brooklyn.
- The second half started off with Edmead and Watkins knocking down threes on back-to-back possessions to go up 14. The Terriers battled back to get the game to single digits after a pair of free throws. A Minor layup with just under 11 minutes to play increased the Warrior lead to 12. A St. Francis Brooklyn jumper with eight and a half minutes to play made the Merrimack advantage only six. A pair of free throws by Minor got the lead to eight. A three from the Terriers made it a five-point game with seven minutes to play. Both teams went back and forth trading baskets. Jordan McKoy knocked down back-to back threes to increase the Merrimack lead to 11 with just under four minutes left in the game. Some good free throw shooting down the stretch gave the Warriors the win by 10.

- Minor tied his season-high with six blocks in the victory.
- The Warriors are now 4-1 against the Terriers since becoming a member of the Northeast Conference (NEC) during the 2019-20 season.
- Merrimack shot 56% from the field, which is their best shooting performance so far this season.
