DURHAM, N.H. —The Merrimack women's soccer team fell on the road 5-1 at the University of New Hampshire on Wednesday.

The Summary
- The host Wildcats struck for four goals in the first half, with the opening tally of the game coming in the fifth minute from a give-and-go play to the outside. In the 32nd minute, the second tally was chipped in off of a corner kick.
- Within a minute, the Wildcats tacked on two goals, with the first being a shallow shot from a ball that pinballed at the top of the 18-yard box. Off the kick off, UNH advanced the ball and sent a chip shot came in from service in the top right corner from 20 yards out.
- UNH scored its fifth of the afternoon in the second half, as a ball was pulled from the corner and fed in from a head-on shot 15 yards out from goal.
- Sophomore Hallie Shiers scored for the Warriors in the 51st minute. A free kick by Katelyn Richardson was skied into the half and pulled out through a scrum along the outside, where the second ball was hauled down by Erin Tyldesley. Shiers cut out from the fray and fired a rising shot from 22 yards out for her first goal of the year.
