Sunday marked just the second time school history that Merrimack has taken points against Boston University. The Warriors tied the match at 3-3 following Mackay Rodriguez's win at fourth singles, leaving the match up to No. 2. Junior
Andre Singer played his first match at the second flight for Merrimack, winning his first set against BU's David Bogatin – who had taken four straight sets against the Warriors dating back to last year. The Terrier won the flight in three sets, however, to claim the match-clinching point.

- Mackay Rodriguez and junior Jonathan Garcia moved up to first doubles on Sunday, falling by a 6-4 margin. The Terriers also won at No. 2 (6-1) to claim the doubles point. Third doubles went 12 games, where Singer and de Godoy Mancini pushed BU's third pairing to a 7-5 match, but the Terriers triumphed. BU led, 1-0, heading to singles
- de Godoy Mancini started the winning ways with a perfect victory at sixth singles, 6-0 and 6-0. BU went up a point with a win at the third flight, but Semerak's first-ever collegiate win followed at the first flight (6-4, 6-4) to even that match up once more at 2-2
- Junior Hassan El Alami brought his first set at fifth singles to a tiebreak, but ended up faltering in two frames, 7-6 (1) and 6-4. With BU up 3-2, Mackay Rodriguez won at No. 4 in three sets (6-0, 2-6, 6-4) to make it a 3-3 match. After Singer's opening-set win, 6-4, BU won the final two sets at the second set to secure the win
