EMMITSBURG, Md. – A pair of first half runs proved to be the difference Saturday afternoon at Waldron Stadium, as the Merrimack College women's lacrosse team fell to Mount St. Mary's by a 20-5 final.
Haley Bartlett was the highlight for the Warriors, as the senior led the way offensively with a hat trick and a team-high five shots on goal.

How It Happened
- Bartlett and the Warriors got off to a hot start when she found the back of the net just 40 seconds into the game.
- The Mountaineers responded with a 7-0 run that lasted until the final nine minutes of the first half. Taylor Darrell stopped the bleeding when she used her speed to cut into the host's defense and finish.
- Bartlett kept the visitors rolling just over a minute later when she scored as she fell down to make it a four-goal game.
- Another Mountaineer run pushed their lead to 13-3 at the half.
- In the opening 14 minutes, the teams traded goals, as Sophie Scearbo had her first of the season on a pass from Ally DaCosta and Bartlett completed the hat trick at the 16:08 mark.
- Mount St. Mary's had the game's final three tallies to seal the win.
