  • Merrimack's offensive pressure was persistent, with four shots on goal in the first half along with 10 shot attempts in the second.
  • The Warriors earned a free kick deep in the offensive zone, just ahead of the nearside corner. Rebecca Harty took the free kick, sending a ball in that hung low, taking one bounce off the bodies down low. Junior Erin Tyldesley, perched at the top of the 18-yard box, played the ball off her chest and fired in a scalding shot top right to tie the game.

  • With four minutes to go in the second overtime, following two threatening shots on goal by the Warriors, a chip pass in the midfield sent Vanessa Wainwright in with time. At the top of the 18-yard box she faked her defender, going in one-on-one with the keeper to finish low left for the victory.
