Men's Soccer Draws Against LIU

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Merrimack men's soccer tied the LIU Sharks on Monday in a 1-1 draw, the first for the Warriors against a Northeast Conference opponent.

  • Merrimack took a lead on an own-goal by LIU, after a long ball from the defensive third was played by Henry Osei who sent from the outside through the box, where it was chipped in by a defender in the 20th minute.
  • LIU got on the board in the 83rd minute on a penalty kick, after goalkeeper Georges El-Khoury came out against a Shark for the ball and was docked for a yellow card on his challenge.
