NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team pushed the University of New Hampshire Wildcats throughout the match, coming up short in Thursday's match.

Set Breakdown:
- Merrimack kept pace with New Hampshire through the first, as a kill by Brooke Leestma and an ace by Brooke Leestma captured two points for the Warriors. Two attack errors and a kill by Maegan Hladick brought Merrimack within three points of UNH. The Warriors rallied for three points as a kill by Hladick and a trio of attack errors gave a one-point lead. Trading points, Sydney Green, Taylor Vartanian and Leestma tallied kills to bring it back to 19 all. As the set continued, Kara Haase added another kill before UNH went for five straight points to take the set.
- Eight points for the Warriors came off of kills in the second set to again keep pace with the hosts until a seven point streak closed out the set for the Wildcats.
- The Warriors earned a lead in the third set notching an ace and two Hladick kills to open the set. Merrimack reeled off four points with two Leestma kills and a pair of attack errors, one forced by a combination block by Taylor Vartanian and Sydney Green. New Hampshire retaliated for seven, bringing the third set to a 12-10 mark. Midway through, the Warriors jumped for five as a service error, kills by Hladick and Leestma along with two aces by Taelyr Czech put 15 on the board. UNH responded, but Merrimack answered with a Kayla Zinser and Leestma kills topped off by an ace by Zinser. Teams traded points to the end, with Vartanian notching a kill before New Hampshire edged out for the third set win.
