BOSTON, MASS. – The top runners from the women's track and field team competed in day one of the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University. Boston University's track is known for being one of the fastest in the country, due to its iconic banks, so it is no surprise that athletes posted some of the best performances of their careers here.
Last week,
Ava Mahoney (Sophomore) earned a personal best time in the 3000m. This week, she narrowly missed setting a new school record in the mile. Mahoney came in at a time of 5:09.94, and the record is set at 5:09.80.
In addition to Mahoney's impressive performance,
Samantha LiPetri ran a personal best time for the indoor 800m (2:18.42). This moved her up to 3
