The Merrimack Men's Soccer Team's 2022 campaign came to an end tonight with a heartbreaking loss in the Northeast Conference playoff semifinal, falling to the Saint Brooklyn Francis Brooklyn Terriers on penalty kicks after the first 110 minutes of the game ended at 2-2.Â

Merrimack's took the lead in just under 28 minutes when
Alessandro Negri's initial shot attempt was blocked and fell to Juri Schlingmann  who took advantage and put the Warriors on top.
It was the Warriors who scored the second goal of the game as well in the second half as some great build up play with
Min Jun Jang and
Johan Feilscher and Juri Schlingmann found himself on the end of Feilscher's pass and with his second goal of the game the Warriors were up two.
Saint Francis Brooklyn would fire back into the game when they scored off a corner kick with 16 minutes to play.
The Terriers would complete their come back when a low shot went just passed the outstretched gloves of Lukas O'Grady, who had come in after
Alvaro Rodriguez dismissal.
With the game equal after 90 minutes, The Warriors and Terriers proceeded into overtime, but those 20 minutes were not enough to decide a definitive winner.Â
Is the game headed to penalty kicks, the Terriers converted on all four attempts while the Warriors only converted on one, and with that the Warriors men's soccer season came to an end.
Stats:
Juri Schlingmann scored twice, bringing his season total to an even 10 goals.
Alessandro Negri led the team in shots on goal with three and also add one assist.
Johan Feilscher had the other assist in the game.
Alvaro Rodriguez made seven saves, and Lukas O'Grady made two.
