BROOKLYN, NY. – The Merrimack College women's volleyball team concluded its season on Saturday night against Long Island University, losing 3-0.

- The Sharks started the first set with a point which was tied up quickly from Merrimack with a kill from Cate Wright. LIU would go on to a four-point lead which would be broken up by Avery Brown. The Sharks lead the game in scoring with a 13-3 run which would be broken up with a kill each from Hannah Webber and Maalese Wallace. The Sharks would end up taking the first set 25-8.
- Brown would lead the Warriors with the first point going into the second set. Both teams traded the lead with Wallace having two kills, Julz Carlat and Wright having a kill. The Warriors looked to take over the second set with a six point lead with two kills from Marilyn Whitcavitch and kills from Brown, Carlat, and Webber. The Warriors would lose the second set by only two points 25-23.
- The Sharks wasted no time in looking to take over the third set with an early two point lead. Both teams traded the lead with the Sharks going on a four point lead with the score being 13-10. Carlat and Webber both had a kill that would break up the lead only down by one point. LIU jumped back into the game with a 3 point lead being broken up by a kill from Whitcavitch in which the Sharks went on a four point lead. The Warriors would lose the third and final set 25-22 to close out the season.
