The Merrimack Warriors Women's Ice Hockey closed out 2022 in style as they were victorious by a score of 4-2 over Saint Anselm Hawks at the Sullivan Arena on Saturday evening.

Merrimack jumped into the lead first as
Katie Kaufman put the puck in the roof of goal to start the game in the lead.
Madison Olekers would double the lead just over four minutes later on a rebound from in tight,
Alex Ferguson also notched her first point of her collegiate career.
The Warriors would keep on rolling in the second period, as
Alexa Pongo would be credited with a powerplay goal shortly after they successfully killed off a five minute major.

Saint Anselm would break shutout midway through the third, but the Warriors would make it a three goal game 94 seconds later when
Teghan Inglis would mark her return to the lineup with a goal.

Saint Anselm would score one more time to make the score 4-2 but the Warriors would hang on to capture the win.
