Warriors Have Huge Comeback Push to Send Game to Double Overtime

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The women's lacrosse team hosted Marist College for a thrilling match-up that went into double overtime. The Warriors unfortunately came up short in the end, but several athletes had multi-goal games, including Meghan Dzialo, Catherine Mahanna, Samantha Spieler, Taylor Darrell, and Sophie Scearbo.

The women's lacrosse team also welcomed back program alumni at today's game. Warrior leaders of the past were recognized at halftime for all they gave to the program during their time at Merrimack.

The Basics:
Score: Marist 16, Merrimack 15

  • Score at end of 2nd: 9-7 Merrimack
3rd quarter:
  • The Warriors entered the quarter with the same momentum they built up in the 2nd, immediately scoring two from Dzialo and Scearbo. Dzialo's would earn her a hat trick.
