NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College men's hockey team dropped a heartbreaker in the final moments by a 1-0 score to #13/13 Northeastern Saturday night at Lawler Rink.
The Huskies scored with 9.6 seconds remaining in the third period to clinch the victory.
Hugo Ollas made 27 saves on 28 shots in the setback.

How It Happened
- In a game that was close the entire way through, Northeastern outshot the Warriors by a 12-10 margin in the first period.
- Merrimack turned the tides in the second period and mounted 11 shots on the Huskies with just six against. Mick Messner had one of the better opportunities on a 3-on-1 chance, but was turned aside.
- The third period was also extremely tight, as the Huskies outshot the Warriors by just a 10-8 margin and eventually broke through for the winner in the final 10 seconds.
Notes & Numbers
- Declan Carlile led the team with a trio of blocked shots.
- Liam Walsh had a team-leading six shots on goal.
- Mac Welsher and Walsh both finished with a success rate over .500 at the faceoff dot.

Merrimack now returns to Lawler Rink Wednesday at a time to be determined for a Hockey East tournament first round game against Maine.
