Warriors Finish Strong at New England Championships

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The women's track and field team competed at the New England Championships over the weekend, in two days of competition hosted by Bryant University. The Warriors had several notable performances that were both personal bests as well as program bests.
 
The Basics:
Event: 2022 Outdoor New England Track and Field Championships
Date: May 13-14, 2022
Location: Bryant University / Smithfield, R.I.
 
Results:

• Alana Johnson earned 4^th in javelin, throwing a season-best 41.57m. Skylar DiMartino took 11^th in the event, throwing 39.71m.
• Skyler Bomba took 6^th place in pole vault, clearing 3.65m, and 17^th in triple jump with a mark of 11.23m.
• Hannah Flores took 13^th in discus, throwing 40.88m for a school record.
• Samantha LiPetri finished 19^th overall in the 800m with a time of 2:16.46.
• Ava Mahoney finished 23^rd overall in the 1500m, at 4:56.57.
• Hannah Brisson crossed at 21^st in the 5000m at 18:26.46.
• Sarah Tierney earned 13^th in the 10,000m with a time of 39:40.75.
• Kathryn Sullivan took 25^th in the 100m hurdles with a time of 15.11.
• Carla Bouchrouche took 28^th in the 400m hurdles (1:06.28).
