NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – Merrimack College Football's
Caleb Holden signed a professional contract with the NFL's Kansas City Chiefs Sunday following the conclusion of the 2022 NFL Draft.
A three-time all-conference selection during his time with the Warriors, Holden starred at defensive back during his time in North Andover and concluded his career with 106 tackles, nine interceptions, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery. He also showed off his versatility as a kick returner with 39 career returns for 258 yards and a long of 36 yards.
The signing marks the third NFL free agent signing among Merrimack alums over the past two seasons, as Sam Cooper and Jovan Grant inked deals following the 2021 draft. It now marks eight players from the program that have been given a chance to play in the top professional league in the world, including Tony Johnson '12, Shawn Loiseau '12, James Suozzo 12', Isaiah Voegeli '13, and Dillon Salva '18.
Kansas City has organized team activities set for May 25-26, May 31 - Jun 2, Jun 7-10 and mini camp is scheduled for June 14-16.
