ORONO, MAINE. – The Merrimack College women's soccer earned its first tie of the season against the University of Maine.
Hallie Shiers was the lone Warrior with a goal in the contest. The goal was her first of the season.

- About 10 minutes into the first half, Morgan made her first save, about ten minutes later she made her second. Shiers had the first shot of the Warriors in the half with 15 minutes left in the stanza. Her shot was saved by the Black Bear goalkeeper. Ashlee Purcell launched a shot in the 37th minute just wide, cementing the half tie score at 0-0.
- Just over a minute into the second half, Shiers broke through and found the back of the net for her first goal of the season. Morgan made a save in the 48th minute to keep the Merrimack lead at one. Cormier and Molly Murnane had shots on back-to-back possessions, both saved by the Maine goalkeeper. Maine scored in the 52nd minute to equal the score at one. A header by Rebecca Harty was saved by the Black Bear goalkeeper in the 57th minute. Julia Ostermann ripped a shot towards net in the 64th minute, which was saved by the Maine goalkeeper. In the 89th minute of play Vanessa Wainwright had a shot it the post, which would have put Merrimack up one. Instead the game stayed tied at one.
