Men’s Soccer Falters Against Bryant

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Merrimack College men's soccer team took the loss in the Wednesday afternoon matchup against Bryant University. Three Warriors had shots on goal, but none could find the back of the net. Merrimack goalkeeper Alvaro Rodriguez had two saves in the defeat.

  • The first shot on goal did not come until the 29th minute when Dylan Barreria fired one towards net that was saved by the Bulldog goalkeeper. Two minutes into the second half, Rodriguez made his first save of the afternoon. In the 53rd minute Liam Ziegler had the second shot on goal that was turned away by the Bryant keeper. In the 71st minute Johan Feilscher ripped a shot towards net, which was also saved by the Bulldog goalie. Bryant scored two goal, one in the 74th minute and the other in the 78th minute, winning the game for the Bulldogs.

Merrimack gets the weekend off and gets back to action next Monday against Boston University. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
