The Merrimack Warriors Women's Ice Hockey team scored twice in the first 40 minutes but fell to the Providence College Friars by a score of 5-2 on Saturday Afternoon.

Merrimack got on the board first with just over two minutes to go in the first period when
Katie Kaufman scored her tenth goal of the season to give the Warriors the lead.

Merrimack would extend their advantage on the powerplay, as
Sophie McKinley scored her second goal in as many nights.

Providence would score four times in eight minutes to take the lead and added an empty netter to finish the contest at 5-2.
