Hackensack, NJ. – The Merrimack College women's basketball lost to the Fairleigh Dickinson University Knights Saturday afternoon 74-53.
Amaya Staton led the Warriors in points with 16, as well as rebounds with 11.

- The Knights started off the first quarter with five points. Staton got the first basket for the Warriors with a layup. The Knights continued to score with a few three pointers to give them a 12-point run. Kaylee Thomas made a jumper in the paint to stop the run. However the Knights continued to score by giving them the lead going into the second quarter 25-7. Jayme DeCesare started the Warriors off with a three pointer as well as a layup from Ava Owens to get the team going in the scoring column. Merrimack looked to catch up and take the lead from the Knights but Fairleigh Dickinson continued to outscore the Warriors throughout the rest of the second quarter.
- Throughout the second half, the Warriors were trailing by 20+ points and looked to get back into the scoring column. Staton made a couple of jumpers in the paint along with Thomas and Diamond Christian. Lydia Melashenko hit a wide open three pointer in the final seconds of the fourth quarter. However, the Knights continued to not allow the Warriors to make a comeback in the second half.
