Rapid Recap
Merrimack walloped their bay state rivals, Stonehill and it started with
Laurie Goddard. Goddard put one in the back of the net just 4 minutes into the game giving the Warriors a cushion. He would then double the lead with another goal just a minute later. Goddard secured a hat trick just two games prior in a win over Howard and had a chance to do it again.
Then it happened. Chance became reality as Goddard netted his third of the match at the 16 minute mark off of a beautiful feed from
Juri Schlingmann. Two hat tricks in three games for the London native and this one took just 16 minutes. Stonehill would finally respond with a goal of their own to cut the deficit to two before the scoring went dormant. Johan Fielscher added an insurance goal late in the game to finish off the Skyhawks and take home a 4-1 win.
