TEANECK, N.J. – The Merrimack College Women's Volleyball couldn't find their footing as they fell to FDU on the road in 3 sets.

How It Happened
The first set of this match was closely contested. It was a 10-8 lead for Merrimack before 7 straight points for FDU. The Warriors were able to strike back with a five point run of their own to tie it at 15. A couple of runs and bursts from both sides and we were back knotted it up at 22. Merrimack then scored two points and was one point away from taking the first set on the road. FDU went on a ferocious run scoring four straight and winning the first set 26-24.
Set number two was close early as Merrimack was down just four at 14-10. The Knights then went on to score 8 of the next 9 points to lead 22-11. It was then closed out a few points later as the Warriors dropped the second set 25-15.
The third set was more of the same for Merrimack as they struggled to find a rhythm. The Warriors held a 6-5 lead but it was quickly stripped away. Down by just two points at 11-9 anything was possible for Coach Lewis' team but it was the Knights who scored 9 of the next 10 points and went up big. Another run put Merrimack away and ended the match as FDU won set three 25-13.
