Men's Soccer Earns Draw With Saint Francis (PA)

Loretto, PA-- The Merrimack Warriors Men's soccer team fell behind in the first half but earned a 1-1 draw in the St.Francis (PA) Red Flash on a rainy afternoon in Loretto, Pennsylvania.
 
The Basics

Merrimack (4-7-2, 2-3-2): 1, Saint Francis (PA) (6-0-7, 4-0-3) 1
 
Saint Francis would score the only goal of the first half on a shot in close at the 24th minute mark.
 
In the second half, the Warriors would find their equalizer as after a penalty kick was given, Johan Feilscher would head home his own rebound after a save to tie the game at one.
 
Both teams had multiple chances to score the go ahead goal, but neither would as game came to a close.
 
  • Alvaro Rodriguez had a stellar outing, making seven saves in the game, a mark that equals his season high that he had against Bryant on 8-31.
 
 
UP NEXT:
The Warriors will celebrate their senior day on Thursday, November 2nd as they face off with Central Connecticut State. Kickoff is set for 4 PM.
