North Andover, M.A—The Merrimack Men's Hockey team hung tough with the University of Connecticut Huskies coming back from two goals down, but were undone by a goal with less than a minute to play and were defeated by a score of 4-3 at Lawler Arena on Saturday night.
The Basics
Merrimack (4-5-2, 2-3-0): 3, University of Connecticut (5-6-1, 3-3-0): 4

The Warriors would strike first on the powerplay as
Ben Brar would score his first of the season as he jammed in a rebound in front of the crease. UConn would tie the game and then take the lead with two powerplay goals midway through the first period.
In the second period, the Huskies would score quickly scoring less than 90 seconds in. Merrimack would find a way back into the contest however, as
Max Wattvil would go coast to coast and fire the puck in from just over the line for his first as a Warrior. The firsts would keep coming as
Frank Djurasevic would finish the back-door pass from
Zach Bookman for his first goal as a Warriors tying the game at three heading into the final period.
In the third period, both teams would trade scoring chances, including an incredible save on a pass across by
Zachary Borgiel who slid across the crease making the glove save over his back to keep the game tied, Connecticut would eventually score the game winner with 31 seconds to play in the game.

th, at Lawler Arena. Puck drop is set for 7 PM and the game will be televised on NESN.
