Providence R.I.—The Merrimack Women's Hockey team scored the lone goal of the contest in the second period and
Calli Hogarth made 37 saves to defeat the Providence College Friars by a score of 1-0 on Friday night.

In the first period,
Calli Hogarth made seven stops to take the game into the first intermission scoreless.
In the second period, the Warriors were able to kill three different penalties and would also find the game's breakthrough as after some give and go from
Maria Lindberg and
Mary Edmonds it would be Edmonds who knocked in the Lindberg rebound to put Merrimack in front.
With a one goal lead to protect, The Warriors killed two more penalties to go a perfect five for five on the penalty kill.
Calli Hogarth also made 14 more saves to help the Warriors close out their second win in a row and sixth on the season.
