Rapid Recap
Coming off a home victory the Warriors looked to stun the college basketball world and grab a win over the number 10 ranked Utes of Utah. However, the relentless attack and consistent pressure of the Utes was suffocating. The Warriors were in the game early behind a Diamond Christian three ball and Amaya Staton jumper. However, Merrimack was only able to put up 15 points in the first half trailed by forty at the break.
The third quarter saw the Warriors score just three points and fall behind even more. The Merrimack offense was struggling up until late in the fourth where the attack was ignited. The Warriors rattled off 16 points overall in the final frame, 14 of which came in the final seven minutes and 30 seconds of the quarter. The Warriors will look to regroup after a tough loss , 98-34, with a road test next week against Siena.
