Merrimack's offense came alive in a massive way in this game against Yale. The offense got it going early with Christian and DeCesare. They would score 20 points in the opening quarter behind the great post play of Amaya Staton. The Warriors we're up 20-12 after the first frame. The second quarter saw even more offense. Merrimack would explode for 22 in the second quarter. They we're able to extend the lead to as much as 11 but snuck into the half up 44-35.
The third quarter started with the Warriors scoring to get the lead back into double figures. However, the offense struggled and the Bulldogs were able to pull closer and closer. The game got as close as 2 points at 55-53. Merrimack was able to put an end to the run from Yale and push their lead back up to eight to close out the third quarter, 61-53. The Warriors finished off the third with a buzzer beating three ball from Jayme DeCesare. The fourth quarter saw Merrimack get the lead all the way to 12 early on in the quarter. Yale continued to try to fight back but Merrimack's offense was just too much to handle as they responded every time. The final minutes came down to the charity stripe where Merrimack was near perfect from. The Warriors would coast their way to a 84-73 win as the offense might have just found their footing.
