BOSTON, MASS. – The Merrimack College men's basketball team lost its final non-conference game of the season on Saturday afternoon to Boston University 74-63.
Devon Savage had a game-high 19 points in the loss for the Warriors.
Jordan Derkack added 12 points.
Bryan Etumnu had 11 in the defeat.

- Etumnu started the game off with a quick layup less then a minute into the game. The Terriers followed up with a three to take a one-point lead. A few minutes later, an Etumnu three would tie the game at five. Boston University would then go on an 11-point run. Savage would stop the run with a jumper. With 10 minutes to go in the first half, Etumnu hit his second three of the afternoon to put Merrimack down eight. After a Derkack fast break dunk the Warriors cut the lead down to four. A layup by Adam "Budd" Clark with five minutes to play decreased the advantage to three. The Terriers then went on a 16-point run to head into halftime up 19.
- Boston University opened the second half on a seven-point run to go up by 23 points. Etumnu stopped the run with a lay in. Savage then hit a three to decrease the lead to 18. With 15 minutes to play Jacob O'Connell hit two free throws to drop the lead to 15. A few minutes later the Terriers once again found themselves up by 22. With five minutes to go Boston University was up by 27. The Warriors ended the game on a 20-2 run, but it was not enough to beat the Terriers in Boston.

- The Warriors forced 17 Terrier turnovers. They scored 25 points off the turnovers.
