Boston, M.A.—The Merrimack Warriors Women's Hockey Team was eliminated by the top seeded Northeastern Huskies in the second round of the Hockey East playoffs on Saturday afternoon at Matthews Arena.
Northeastern took the early lead in the game and scored a second just over five and half minutes later.
Neither team would score in the second period, and
Emma Gorski would make 18 saves in the frame to keep the deficit at two heading into the third period.
In the third, Northeastern would score early in the third, before adding two more midway through the period.
Getting a late powerplay, the Warriors would take advantage and score a consolation goal with just over two minutes to go as
Teghan Inglis found the back of the net.
