The Merrimack men's hockey team fell in overtime to the Maine Black Bears by a score of 3-2 in overtime on Sunday afternoon.

Merrimack got off to a great start as
Alex Jefferies scored his 12
th goal of the season less than 90 seconds into the first period and the Warriors would carry the one goal lead through the next period.

Merrimack would get their second goal of the afternoon with just over twelve minutes to go in regulation as
Ryan Leibold fired the puck home off a cross ice feed from
Jordan Seyfert.

Maine would tie the score with two shorthanded goals in 64 seconds, the Warriors would get one more big chance with a five minute powerplay opportunity but the game would ultimately head to overtime for the third straight game for Merrimack.

Maine would win the game 3:36 of overtime.
