NORTH ANOVER, MASS. – The Merrimack College women's basketball concluded the regular season on Thursday night with a win over St. Francis Brooklyn 61-60.
Jayme DeCesare found a hole in the Terrier defense in the final seconds of the game to give the Warriors a one-point win. The senior point guard finished with a game-high 17 points.
Marissa Hamilton second double-double of the season after scoring 13 points and pulling down 11 rebounds.
Diamond Christian was the third Merrimack player in double figures with 12 points.

- A minute into the game the score was tied at five. Amaya Staton scored, followed by Hamilton to give the Warriors a four-point lead. After back and forth scoring from both teams Ava Owens drove the lane and scored on a layup. DeCesare would find the bottom of the net with a three to put Merrimack up five with two minutes to play in the first quarter. Merrimack would be up three at the end of the first. Both teams battled for the duration of the second quarter, trading buckets on multiple occasions. No teams lead got larger than three for the entire quarter. The score was tied at 30 heading into halftime.
- Christian scored five straight points in the third quarter to put the Warriors up by five. Merrimack would swell the lead up to eight point with just under six minutes left in the third. The Terriers would battle back to tie the game at 45 with three minutes to play. St. Francis Brooklyn would go into the fourth up by three. Christian knocked down a three to cut the lead down to two points. With two and a half minutes to play Kaylee Thomas hit a three to put the Warriors up by two. The Terriers would tie the game with a minute and a half left. With eight seconds remaining DeCesare would find a lane to the hoop and kiss the ball off the glass to give Merrimack a two-point lead. After a Warrior foul, the Terriers went to the line. They would only knock down one free throw, giving Merrimack a one-point win.
