Baseball Beat By Central Connecticut in Series Opener

ANDOVER, MASS. – The Merrimack College baseball team lost its first of three games this weekend against Central Connecticut State University on Friday afternoon.

● The Blue Devils scored two runs in the first inning to take an early lead. Alex Haba then launched a sac fly to left, scoring Braydon Dolbashian who doubled earlier in the inning to put the Warriors down one. There were no runs scored for four innings. In the seventh, Central Connecticut scored five runs to jump ahead by six. They scored another run in the top half of the eighth to go up by seven. In the bottom of the ninth, Frankie Ferrentino hit a home run to put Merrimack down six. The Warriors would not compete the comeback.

Ferrentino was the lone Warrior with multiple hits.

Dawson Logie threw a scoreless top of the ninth.
