NORTH ANDOVER, MASS – The Merrimack College women's lacrosse won its final home game of the season on Saturday afternoon against Fairleigh Dickinson University 18-10.

● After some back and forth play in the first quarter,
Natalie Calkins scored the first goal for Merrimack, giving them an early lead. About six minutes later
Olivia Valdes found the back of the net for the first time of the afternoon to put the Warriors up two. The Knights added a goal to cut the lead to one. Before the end of the first quarter,
Grace Boneu,
Sophie Scearbo and
Georgia Parker all scored goals. Scearbo got her second of the quarter, 20 seconds before the end of the quarter to put Merrimack up by five. Fairleigh Dickinson struck first in the second quarter cut the lead down to four.
Mollie Flanagan then got the goal back 20 seconds later for Merrimack. Scearbo found the back of the net for the third time to put the Warriors up six. Boneu then scored again to make the lead seven with seven minutes to go until halftime. Calkins then added her second goal of the afternoon. Four minutes later
Kelly Corrigan scored, giving Merrimack a nine-point advantage. Valdes scored for the second time of the half with a little over a minute left before halftime. The Knights scored with under 25 seconds left in the half to go into halftime down nine. Valdes opened the second half scoring for the Warriors with a goal five minutes into the third quarter. Fairleigh Dickinson then went on a three-goal run to slice the lead down to six. Scearbo scored once again to put the advantage back up to seven.
Olivia White found the back of the net for the first time to put the Warriors up eight. The Knights battled back scoring and making it a six point game once again. Scearbo notched her fifth goal of the afternoon with 11 minutes t play in the game. Fairleigh Dickinson then added three goals in two minutes to go down by six. White and Scearbo scored goals towards the end of the game to give Merrimack an eight-point win.
