North Anodver, MA- The Merrimack Softball team routed the Stonehill Skyhawks by a score of 14-0 after five innings in the first of their three game set on a cold cloudy Thursday afternoon at Martone-Mejail field.
Merrimack jumped out the lead after
Courtney Lanpher tripled to right field, scoring
Ellen Hubbard, and the Warriors tacked on two more runs as Lanpher and Hubbard were scored by
Madison Cerpa who doubled.

Madison Cerpa loaded the bases on an error, two more runs scored on a walk and a wild pitch, beforeÂ
Caity Lemay opened the game up even further with a two run double into left field.Â
Ellen Hubbard would put the cherry on the top of this game as she hammered a grand slam to left center field to take the lead to 14 and finish out an 11 run inning.Â
Bry Michitson retired the side in order to finish the game via the mercy rule.

Ellen Hubbard led the team with three hits, including a double and grand slam, finishing the day with 6 RBI.
Courtney Lanpher and
Sam Russalesi had two hits each.
Madison Cerpa,
Caity Lemay, and
Hannah Scarano had a hit each.
The Warriors had seven extra base hits in the win.
Bry Michitson allowed two hits and struck out seven in the shutout. She also threw over 75 percent of her pitches for strikes.

This is the Warriors second win by 10+ runs this season, the other coming against Sacred Heart on 3-18.
