Men's Lacrosse Falls in Season Finale to #1 Duke

BETHPAGE, NY. – The Merrimack College men's lacrosse team was taken down in its series finale against #1 ranked Duke University on Sunday afternoon in Bethpage, N.Y.

Rapid Recap

The Blue Devils jumped out to a quick seven-goal advantage in the first quarter. Duke was held scoreless for most of the second quarter, but found the back of the net with just over two minutes to play until halftime. With 16 seconds left in the half, Trace Hogan scored the first Warrior goal of the afternoon to head into halftime down by seven. In the second half, Duke scored the first five goals to jump out by 12. Brian Bouwman found the back of the net with just over nine minutes to play in the game. The Blue Devils would score once more to win the game by 12.

Notes and Numbers

Henry Vogt finished the day with 15 saves.
Riley Reed led the team with three caused turnovers.
