The first quarter started with the Red Flash getting the lead but the Warriors quickly grabbed the lead. Behind some great play of
Jayme DeCesare and
Thalia Shepard, Merrimack went into the second quarter up 16-13. The second quarter is when the Warriors started to open things up. The Merrimack attack was relentless as they made it a 13 point game going into the half.
The second half was more of the same for the Warriors. The third quarter has been an issue for Merrimack in the past but not today. MC kept piling it on and wouldn't stop the beatdown. They would enter the fourth quarter with their biggest lead of the season at 58-36. At that point they were able to maintain the lead and coast in the fourth quarter. They continued to score the rock and would end up winning it 71-48.
Notes and Numbers
- Jayme DeCesare went nuclear with 25 points and 4 assists
- Thalia Shepard continued her great play with 20 points, 7 rebounds, and a career high 4 steals
- Madison Roman was fantastic with 8 points and 11 rebounds
