Rapid Recap
The first quarter of this NEC matchup couldn't have gone much better for what was a struggling Warriors offense. Kaylee Thomas erupted for eleven first quarter points including three triples. Merrimack went into quarter number two feeling good up 22-17. The second quarter was night and day from what was the success they found in the first. The Warriors got outscored 24-4 and couldn't find much of anything at all. MC would go into the half down thirteen.
The second half is where Merrimack desperately needed to find any sort of answer to combat the attack of the Knights. The Warriors we're unable to do that as they fell behind even further going into the last quarter down 56-38. The final quarter was more of the same as the teams traded baskets and Merrimack could not cut into the FDU lead. Rose Caso was the bright spot in the fourth quarter scoring seven points but it was too little too late as the Warriors dropped their second NEC game 67-51.
