Field Hockey Dropped in Conference Matchup

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Merrimack College Field Hockey team was dropped in conference by NEC foe LIU.

Records: Merrimack (0-9, 0-2), LIU (3-5, 1-1)

Merrimack was aiming to get on the board with a win against LIU. The Sharks would come into Duane Stadium and put the first tally on the board late in the first period. LIU would continue to add to their one goal lead. They would score back to back goals in the second period and the Warriors would trail 3-0 heading into the half. Isabelle Gardiner would continue to get tested throughout the second half but remained strong making save after save to keep Merrimack within striking distance. However, the Warriors would fail to score a goal in the second half losing 3-0.
