Storrs, CT.- The Merrimack College women's ice hockey team was shutout in the second half of their head to head set with the University of Connecticut Huskies falling by a score of 2-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Merrimack (4-7-1, 2-7-1): 0, Connecticut (8-6-0, 7-2-0): 2
Connecticut took the lead just past the ten-minute mark in the first period for the only goal of the frame, and they would double that advantage in the second period, again just past the halfway point.
Calli Hogarth made 12 saves in the third, bringing her total to 36 on the afternoon but the Warriors were unable to break through before the final buzzer.
