Rapid Recap
The Warriors were looking to cap off the 2024 season on a high note and try to grab their first win of the year. Both teams came into this game aiming to avoid a winless season. Early on and throughout the first period it would be a stalemate with neither team scoring. The Warriors did get a couple opportunities but nothing came from them. In the second it would be freshman Gianna Cioni netting one to grab the lead. Later on, in the second period it would be senior to senior in their final game at Merrimack, Meghan McCarthy to Julie Wester for an insurance score. From that point on it would be all about maintaining the lead. That is exactly what the Warriors did limiting the Lakers to just one shot on goal in the second half in route to their first win in well over a year.
