North Andover, Mass. – Senior running back and kick return specialist
Jermaine Corbett was named to the Stats Perform FCS Second Team All-American Team as announced on Wednesday morning. Corbett was put on the list as a kick returner. The All-America team has 113 players across three teams, representing all 13 FCS leagues and 67 schools. Montana State has the most selections with seven and South Dakota State is second with six.
Corbett was a force in the kick return game for the Warriors. The running back from New Jersey had a total of 503 kick return yards and two touchdowns. With 14 total attempts on the year, Corbett had a return average of 35.9 yards which was best among FCS returners. At the running back position, Corbett rushed for 1,058 yards and nine touchdowns for the Warriors this season. In the receiving game, he had 20 receptions for 204 yards and one touchdown.
Corbett is the second Warrior in the last two seasons to be named to the All-American list. Teammate
Donovan Wadley was a first-team selection during the 2023 season.
