Providence, R.I.—The Merrimack Warriors Women's hockey team scored first and were tied after 40 minutes but gave up three goals in the third period as they dropped their final road game of the regular season by a score of 4-1 to the Providence College Friars on Friday night.

Maria Lindberg scored her fifth goal in seven games to open the scoring for the Warriors as she scored from in tight on the powerplay. Providence would tie the game with a powerplay goal of their own before the end of the first period.
After a scoreless second period, Providence would score the go ahead goal at 8:02 of the frame, Merrimack would go on the powerplay shortly after, but it would be the Friars scoring shorthanded and they would also add a empty netter late to finish the contest.
