Durham, N.H.—The Merrimack Warriors Men's Hockey team were defeated by the New Hampshire Wildcats by a score of
3-1 on Saturday night at the Whittemore Center.
The Basics
Merrimack (10-16-1, 3-13-1): 1, New Hampshire (14-9-1, 7-6-1): 3
New Hampshire snagged the early lead, potting the opening goal 87 seconds into the contest.
In the second period, both teams were held scoreless as
Hugo Ollas made nine saves in the frame.
New Hampshire would double their lead just past the midway point of the third period and add an empty netter late.
Ty Daneault would break the shutout with two seconds remaining in the game.
