NEW BRITAIN, CT – The Merrimack College Baseball team completed their second NEC sweep of the year defeating the Blue Devils of Central Connecticut State.

Brayden Ryan would be on the mound to start it out for the Warriors, tasked with getting the Warriors to a series sweep and to a 9-6 record in conference play. Ryan would pitch five innings of scoreless baseball giving up just three hits. While Ryan was doing his thing on the bump, the Warriors bats were exploding. MC would score two runs in the second inning and added three more in the third off the bats of
Alex Haba,
Matthew Chatelle, and
Hayden Bond. Merrimack would continue to push their lead with two more runs in the fifth to go up 7-0. Ryan would be relieved by freshman lefty
Campbell Cassidy who would go two innings of no hit ball leading into the 8th inning where
Flynn Howard would take over. He would let in the lone CCSU run of the afternoon.
Michael Dragon would come in in the 9th to end it as Merrimack coasted to a 9-1 win.
