Rapid Recap
The game opened up with high hopes for the Warriors as it was their first ever postseason appearance at the Division one level and since the back to back National Championships at the division two level. Jack Rooney would get the Warriors on the board to start the second quarter and
Kasey Mongillo was able to respond to a UAlbany goal minutes later to make it 8-2. The Danes scored the final two of the first half to send it to halftime 10-2.
In the third quarter

Brian Bouwman and
Kasey Mongillo each netting one. Merrimack would finally cut into the lead with back to back scores within a minute of one another from
Brian Russell and then
Trace Hogan to cut the deficit to six at 13-7. UAlbany would go on to score the final two goals of the quarter to lift the lead back to eight heading into the final quarter of play. In the fourth, Merrimack never got the offense going as the Danes scored three quick tallies to open up the quarter and then relied on the defense to get the job done.
