Loretto, PA.— Merrimack Softball couldn't get by the Saint Francis (PA) Red Flash in their series opening doubleheader, falling in game one by a score of 8-0 in five innings, and 7-1 in game two on a rainy Saturday afternoon.
Game 1: In game one, St.Francis would score the games first two runs in the second inning, before adding another in the third. The Red Flash kept it rolling in the fourth with a three run fourth inning before reaching the mercy rule in the fifth, scoring the eighth run of the game.
Notes and Numbers:
Game 2: The Red Flash picked up right where they left off in game one, scoring twice in the first inning, but the Warriors would get on the board themselves after an RBI double from
Sofia Palyan that split the center and right fielders, scoring
Sam Russalesi. The Red Flash however would take back control in the fourth inning scoring five runs to take the win.

Up Next: Merrimack will play their final game of the 2024 regular season on Sunday afternoon against the St. Francis Red Flash. First pitch is at noon.
