Philadelphia, PA.—The Merrimack Warriors Men's soccer team fell behind in the second half but scored two quick goals to take the lead and the 2-1 win in their season opening contest against the Saint Joseph's Hawks on Thursday night.
Merrimack (1-0-0): 2 | Saint Joseph's (0-1-0): 1
After a scoreless first half, the Hawks would break the ice in the contest in the 68
th minute, but the Warriors would battle back into the contest five minutes later, as
Jonathan Kratz would score his first Merrimack goal of his career, tying the game at one, three minutes later it would be Kratz again finding the back of the net after a turnover.
From there, the Warriors would hold the Hawks to no shots on goal to capture the win.

Merrimack stays on the road as they face the College of the Holy Cross Crusaders next Tuesday. Kickoff is at 6 PM.
