Men's Soccer Bested by Northeastern

Boston, M.A.-   The Merrimack College Warriors Men's soccer team were defeated by the Northeastern Huskies by a score of 4-1 on Tueday evening.

• Northeastern scored the games opening goal at the 21 minute mark, but Merrimack would find their way back into the game after a free kick and a ricochet clearance would find the head of Liam Ziegler who nodded it home to equalize the game at one at the 35 minute mark, however the Huskies would retake the lead two minutes later and would take the 2-1 lead into the break.

 

• In the second half, Northeastern would add an insurance marker four minutes in and would score their fourth and final goal just before sixty minutes.
   

 

Notes and Numbers:

• Liam Ziegler scored his first goal of the season.
• Nelton Semedo made six saves.
